Welcome to Bansko, Bulgaria

Bansko is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site with remarkable medieval architecture combined with the beautiful nature it makes a great holiday destination!

Skiing, Snow & The Resort

Information on the Bansko ski Resort, and extra services.
  • Bansko has the best snow record and the longest ski season in Bulgaria (1st Dec - mid April).
  • It has 75k of pistes and a fun park for both skiers and boarders sporting jumps and rails (not for the faint hearted!)
  • The ski slopes are groomed every night and snow cannons keep a fresh guaranteed layer of snow on the pistes throughout the season.
  • Brand new fast Doppelmayr lifts installed throughout the resort (imported from Austria).
  • New runs and new chair lifts to be added for this coming winter 2010/11.
  • The highest peak is 2900m with 'a ton of off piste' to explore amongst many tall Pine trees reminiscent of the Rockies.
  • There are also a great number of ski runs to suit both beginners and experts with a final run into town providing a gentle ski home at the end of the day.
  • There are a number of beginner slopes with 'magic carpet' style lifts and basic drags to get the beginners started.
  • We work with a certified Salomon ski school/hire shop with all English speaking staff and instructors where we can help organise group lessons or one on one tuition.
